We collect meaningful items that assist those in need. These will include books, toys and clothes for further recycling.
A brief Program Description:
This program is geared at motivating participants to work and make valuable contributions to and for the benefit of the less fortunate within the community. It is particularly aimed at teaching them to have a positive sense of responsibility to assist with providing care and support to eligible community members.
Tasks involved for the Charity Drive:
- Packing of the bags for distribution – which includes placing fliers in bags for distributions.
- Each package contains a folded recycling bag for packing the goods to be donated, plus an information flier and then all placed in a zip lock bag:
- Sorting of clothing, books, toys and other items are recovered from the various charity pick
- Categories of sorting items and placed in sacks and labelled for distribution to the various families that are in need.
Refuge and unwanted reject items are organised in sacks for garbage collections
Suggested Learning Outcomes:
Participants will learn a sense of responsibility and be motivated to do voluntary work for the good of the disadvantaged (including themselves) in the community. Participants will be encouraged and further motivated to better their lives so that they too can provide support to charities for the betterment of society.
